Make Your Plan to Vote
Donna encourages every eligible resident to make a plan to vote and ensure their voter information is up to date.
Voting in the 2026 Ajax Municipal Election is quick and convenient. Eligible voters can cast their ballot online or by telephone during the official voting period.
Voting Period
From: Monday, October 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
Until: Monday, October 26, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.
Am I Eligible to Vote?
You may vote in the Ajax Municipal Election if you:
✓ Are at least 18 years of age on Voting Day
✓ Are a Canadian citizen
✓ Live in Ajax, or own or rent property in Ajax (or are the spouse of an owner or tenant)
✓ Are not otherwise prohibited from voting under the Municipal Elections Act
Check Your Voter Information
Your name must be on the Voters' List to receive your Voter Information Letter.
If you need to confirm, update, or add your information, you can do so through the official Elections Ontario voter registration service before August 12, 2026.
Missed the registration deadline? Don't worry—you can still vote. Simply bring government-issued identification showing your name and Ajax address to a Voting Assistance Centre during the voting period, and staff will help you register and cast your ballot.
When Can I Vote?
The Town of Ajax will conduct voting:
October 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
through
October 26, 2026 at 8:00 p.m.
Voting is available online or by telephone.
Need Help Voting?
The Town of Ajax will operate three Voting Assistance Centres (VACs) during the voting period. Staff will be available to assist with voter registration, updating voter information, and casting your ballot.
